This £22m extension, refurbishment and re-clad of an existing building has provided a stunning addition to the edge of the City of London. Working with architects AStudio, we designed exposed services throughout the building. Including low carbon technologies, the building responds to occupancy through people sensing and brings on lighting and cooling or heating to suit. The energy performance certificate (EPC) was improved to a ‘B’ and a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ was achieved.
