Working with John Robertson Architects and Structuretone we prepared a design to address the modernisation of three lecture theatres and ancillary spaces at the Torrington Place facility. One of the major challenges was accommodating the retained existing services at high level throughout the space and keeping the new services above a height of 2.5m. The UCL target was set, and the design delivered a SKA Gold rating.
